Why was the colonization of Africa, Asia, and the Americas shared by Britain, France, and Spain?

For economic reasons. That's what I think. Because they need each other for trades of supplies that they need from one another. Like in Europe they have many herbs and spices America doesn't have that they can import to Europe. Successful trades with other colonizations
