A family is a social group that consists of parents and children. A family is united by either marriage, blood or adoption. Traditional families were patriarchal with the father working and the mother staying at home to take care of the children. Also, families had a lot of children.
With the passage of time, the structure of families have changed. It is not uncommon for families to decide to not have children or to have one child.
