The inferior vena cava vein collects deoxygenated blood from the abdomen, pelvis, and lower limbs (lower limbs and all organs located below the diaphragm) and moves it to the right atrium of the heart and to the lungs to be oxygenated. Also, the renal vein carries the deoxygenated blood from the kidney to the inferior vena cava.
