Situation: Sarah's parents hope she will be able to attend a pre-kindergarten program next year. Sarah has a learning disability and requires special instruction.

Sarah's mother: "This program is so highly acclaimed; we hope that Sarah will be able to attend."

Program director: "We do not offer specialized instruction for children with disabilities. We believe it is better for students with special needs to socialize and learn with others at their own pace."
