Nucleus - brain of the cell; gives instructions to the rest of the cell
Cell wall - protects the cell and give plant cells their shape (where the name cells came from)
Mitochondria - generate most of the cells energy
Cell membrane - decides what goes in and out of a cell (ever hear of osmosis? this is sorta like that)
Function of a Nucleus: Contains genetic material, and coordinates all finctions in the cell
Function of a Cell Wall: Protects the cell from the environment and holds it all in shape.
Function of Mitochondria: The powerhouse of the cell, it produces the chemical energy the cell uses to function
Cell Membrane: Provides protection for the cell
Why? They all play their own roles in making the cell work properly.
