Answer:

Independent variable: the results with soapy water, since is not "original", it is what wants to be tested, in comparison to the clear water.

Dependent variable: the results with plain water, since it is our guide in the experiment.

Explanation:

Constant or control variable: the differences between the two. I knew that the oil should have less surface tension than the water, but we had equal results – 23 drops for each. Soapy water had the least surface tension. We were only able to get 11 drops of soapy water on the penny.

hope this helps :) comment if you have any other questions on this!!

#9 I cant see what steps 1-7 are so hopefully you were meaning number 10 and ill do that below this

# 10 you just do the drops on a penny until it spills over and do it 5 times then add up all the drops for each of the 5 times together and divide it by 5 because you did the trials 5 times and you get your answer

ex.

This is just an example you might have more or less drops

Trial 1:   10

Trial 2:   11

Trial 3:   10

Trial 4:   9

Trial 5:  11

so add them all up 10+11+10+9+11= 51

you get 51 so divide that by 5 and you get 10.2
