Malcom ran the 440-yard and the 220-yard dash at a track meet. There are 3 feet in one yard. How many total feet did Malcom run. estimate first. check for reasonableness

estimate is 1800 actuall answer is 1980
it would be 1980 because All i did, was I looked up yards to feet, and I put 660 in, because 440 + 220 is 660, and it was 1980!
