c(100) = (1.25*100) + 2175
= 125 + 2175
= 2300
Another exmaple: if it says c(2 + x) then you substitute that into x
→ 1.25(2 + x) + 2175 (and then expand that)
b) A physical interpretation of this could be:
For every 1.25 w-widget that is produced, you would add $2175 for the other costs. (something like that)
