m2 = 0.250 M          v2 = 4 L

Using the dilution equation:

m1*v1 = m2*v2

(6)*(x) = (0.250)(4)

6x = 1

x = 1 / 6

Hence, 1/6 Litres (0.167 L) of 6M solution is required in order to make 4 litres of 0.250 M solution of HClO₄
