This charter signed by King George III gives to James Oglethorpe the right to colonize the territory which today is the state of Georgia. It was a success because this charter created several restrictions that made Georgia a colony with rules that, one way or another, were followed by other provinces. These rules didn't suppress freedom but promoted order and development.
