Respuesta :
Calcium and Vitamin D are essential for the growth and development of strong bones and teeth. Calcium is essentially a building block of bone, as bones contain 99.5% of the total calcium in the body, and it helps maintain bone strength throughout the lifetime of a person. Vitamin D helps to increase the absorption of calcium, ultimately building stronger bones.
Calcium is present in both teeth and bones.
Further Explanation:
Bone is the connective tissue which has four types of cells, osteoblasts, osteoclasts, osteocytes and the bone lining cells. Bone performs the function of locomotion, protection of soft tissue and support, storing calcium and phosphate and harboring the bone marrow
Bone remodeling is the process which helps in continuing the change in thickness and appearance of the bone. The architectural structure of bones changes with the deposition of new and resorption of old bone. The types of cells involved in this process are osteoblast and osteoclast.
Osteoblast is the bone forming cells which produces the organic matter in the matrix and helps in providing minerals to the bone. They are not mitotic cells so the only source to form new osteoblast is osteogenic cell. In case of stress and fracture osteoblast accelerates by the process called mitosis to reinforce the bones. The deposition mainly occurs to that area which is in need or prone to infection.
Osteoclast helps in maintaining the plasma calcium homeostasis by digesting old bones. When the bone is too used, osteoclast removes matrix and remove the unnecessary mass. They are developing from the same marrow stem cells that produce blood cells. They are multinucleated giants cells originate from microphage or monocytes lineage.
Enamel, the hardest substance in the body is made of calcified tissue. Calcium buildup which refers to plaque and tartar that can collect and cause the teeth decay.
