I have no idea how to do this someone please help!!! It’s Stoichiometry. CaCO3 + 2HCl --> CaCl2 + CO2 + H2O If 20.8 grams of calcium carbonate reacts with excess HCl, how many moles of calcium chloride are produced?

Respuesta :

Take stoichiometry In to consideration. The ratio of CaCO3 to CaCl2 is 1:1

Therefore the amount of moles in CaCO3 is same as moles in CaCl2.

Calculate the moles of CaCO3 using the equation n =m/M where

n = moles

m = mass

M =molar mass

And find the moles which is 0.208 mol in this case.

Therefore the moles of CaCl2 is also 0.208mol

(lol... Um doing all ur chemistry sums..)
