c = speed of electromagnetic wave = 3 x 10⁸ m/s

μ₀ = 4π x 10⁻⁷ = 12.56 x 10⁻⁷

ε₀ = 8.85 x 10⁻¹²

intensity of the electromagnetic wave is given as

I = (0.5) ε₀ E²₀ c

inserting the values in the above equation

I = (0.5) (8.85 x 10⁻¹²) (8000)² (3 x 10⁸)

I = 8.5 x 10⁴ W/m²
