I will be trying to get the equation into slope-intercept form:
y = mx + b
"m" is the slope, "b" is the y-intercept
6x + 7y = 14 Isolate the "y". First subtract 6x on both sides
7y = 14 - 6x Divide 7 on both sides
[tex]y=2-\frac{6}{7} x[/tex] or [tex]y = -\frac{6}{7}x+2[/tex]
The slope is [tex]-\frac{6}{7}[/tex]
The y-intercept is 2
