If 5 people are sharing 3/4 lb of candy evenly, then all we have to do to find out how much each person makes is divide the amount being split by the amount of people receiving it.
[tex] \frac{3}{4} [/tex] ÷ 5 = [tex] \frac{3}{20} [/tex]
Each person receives [tex] \frac{3}{20} [/tex] lbs of candy.
Hope that helped =)
