The only hint I'm giving is that the answer can only be one of the 2: C or B.

A and D can't be it because A. says they are trying to attract and please customers, but as you know companies don't really care about the people, they just want money.

D. is wrong because that says that they are conducting operations to improve the company, well as well as that sounds the statement presented itself as not concerning itself with MANAGEMENT and if that's the case then they wouldn't be MANAGING their MARKET PERFORMANCE.
