We will have to cross out the options we don't need. It's not option D because DNA uses sugar deoxyribose, and RNA uses sugar ribose. It's not option C because DNA is made up of adenine, thymine, guanine, and cytosine and they use different types of sugar. When it came down to options A, and B I had to choose A because DNA looks like a twisted ladder but RNA looks like a twisted staircase. So, the answer is option A "DNA and RNA are made up of repeating nucleotide's" because both are made up of them.
Hope this helps!
Answer:
DNA and RNA are made up of repeating nucleotides.
Explanation:
DNA: it stands for deoxyribose nucleic acid.
RNA: it stands for ribose nucleic acid
Ribose and deoxyribose are the sugar components
nucleotides are made up of nucleoside and phosphate groups
nucleoside is nitrogen base and sugar
A) DNA and RNA are made up of repeating nucleotides: thus it is true for both DNA and RNA.
B)DNA and RNA have identical structures: False, DNA is double stranded and RNA is single stranded.
C)DNA and RNA use the same four bases: False
DNA has cytosine, adenine, thymine, guanine
RNA has cytosine, adenine, uracil, guanine.
D) DNA and RNA use the same sugar: False.
DNA: it has deoxyribose sugar.
RNA: it has ribose sugar.
