Tobias is having friends over for dinner. The dinner table is 6 feet by 3 feet. If each friend will need about 2 feet of table space to sit comfortably, what is the maximum number of friends Tobias can invite to dinner?

P = 2 L × 2 W
P = 2(6) × 2(3)
P = 12 + 6
P = 18

No of people
18 ÷ 2 = 9

Answer = 9 people
