If a gas in a closed container is pressurized from 9.71 atmospheres to 16.0 atmospheres and its original temperature was 25.0oC, what would the final temperature of the gas be?

Formula
P / T = P1 / T1

Sub and Solve
9.71 / 298 = 16.0 / T1   Cross Multiply
9.71 * T1 = 298 * 16     Divide by 9.71
T1 = 298 * 16 / 9.71
T1 = 491.0   oK            That's Pretty warm.

C = 491.0 = 273
C = 218.0  <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<  Answer in  Degrees Centigrade.
