the reaction uses 18.2 g of copper (I) sulfide (Cu2S). what volume of sulfur dioxide gas would be collected at 237°C and 10.7 atm?

Respuesta :

The volume of Sulfur  dioxide gas  that  would be collected  at  237c and 10.7 atm  is
       0.446 L

it is calculated   using  ideal gas  equation
that is  PV =nRT
P(pressure)= 10.7  atm
V(volume=?
n= number of moles = 18.2 g/159 =0.114 moles

by  making V the subject of the formula   V= nRT/P

(0.114 mol x0.082 L.atm/mol/k  x510 K)/ 10.7 atm   = 0.446 L
