50 POINTS PLEASE HELP ME ON THIS ASSIGNMENT..

In what ways do you benefit from having a free press (media that isn't controlled by the government)?

How far do you think the United States has come since the Jim Crow era? To what extent does racism and discrimination still exist in this country?

Throughout our country's history, countless Americans have stood up to the power structure and demanded justice. What causes do you think are worth fighting today (immigrant rights, animal rights, war, environmental justice, etc.)? Explain your answer.

Respuesta :

1. We benefit from a free press because people can read and hear what they chose to read, instead of twisted government propaganda.
2. We have come very far since Jim Crow laws. African-Americans are not segregated from whites anymore. Racism still is alive and well in America, but not to the extent it was in the time of Jim Crow.
3. I think that human rights and environmental rights are worth fighting for. The environment needs to be better taken care of, and people around the globe don't even have clean water supplies. Those things need to change.
