I need to show this equation
r=cot(θ)r=cot(θ) as xx,yy using the following laws:
x=rcos(θ)x=rcos(θ), y=rsin(θ)y=rsin(θ)
r2=x2+y2r2=x2+y2, tan(θ)=yxtan(θ)=yx
This is what I've done :
r=cot(θ)r=cos(θ)sin(θ)r2=rcos(θ)sin(θ)x2+y2=xsin(θ)
Now, I'm stuck what should I do with sin(θ)sin(θ)?
Any ideas?
Thanks!
