The Nature vs Nurture debate has always been an interest of mine since getting into the psychology field. If a person grew up in an ideal environment with all their needs met
in life, would they be less likely to commit crimes or behave poorly? Or if an individual that grew up in poor conditions with limited needs met, are they destined to be a failure
in life? Interestingly, I seen a tv show where an astronomer talked about how she studied serial killers by using their zodiac signs and date of birth. By using it she concluded
that certained ones were destined to be mence to society from birth. I wonder if she would consider this a product of nature? Although, no actually scientific research has been
conducted on that theory.
As the book and other research mentioned, nature vs nurture cannot be measured due to them intertwining. They depend on each other. Nature is nurture and nurture is
nature. Nature is the part that makes you, you. Its your personality and genetic makeup. Nurture is our environment and other outside factors. An example of how the two
intertwine, parenting or domains of parent to child relation. Parenting that is positively, negatively, and controlling all depends on genetic and environmental factors.
