A building with a wall 50m long by 4m high with sixty percent (60%) of the wall area
occupied by 10 mm thick plate glass and the remainder is of 20 cm thick concrete blocks
with solid concrete cores is being designed. If expected condition for site of the building
has average daily air temperatures of 35°C and the interior temperature of the building
will be kept at 25 °C by designed air conditioning system, calculate the rate of heat
transfer from outside to inside (heat load) due to this wall.
